It's Been Almost a Month Since Why Faeries Bite Was Published!

It means a lot to me that many of you have ordered Why Faeries Bite and have shared your enjoyment of it with me. Thank you for the support, the social media shout-outs, and for being willing to hear what I have to say. Poetry is a long distance event, not a sprint, and I'm enjoying the journey.

This month, I read at a live poetry open mic night, a Zoom poetry open mic night, and was featured on the Kern Poetry Website with several of my poems and the stories behind them.

As for my middle grade fiction, there is an independent publishing company looking at the full Manuscript of my fantasy novel set in the Orkney Islands, The Selkie Prince, and I am tentatively hopeful that it will meet their needs. If not, I will continue the submissions process elsewhere. Thanks again for the love and support; I'll keep you updated with my work as it progresses. If you don't already, you can follow my updates on Instagram and Facebook. I post 3-5 times a week with poetry, photography/poetry composite artwork, and fun facts about the real Orkney. Writing is sometimes a long and lonely journey, and I often struggled with feelings of futility, loneliness, and frustration. If you are a praying person, would you consider praying for me that I would honor God with my writing, wait patiently on Him, and trust in His timing in all that I do? Thanks again! Love, Sandra Rose Hughes
